CAS Help! Simultaneous Equations

How do I solve simultaneous equations on the CAS? Every method that I try I always end up with "no solution." I've had a look at the CAS Guides here on ATAR Notes but I couldn't find anything about simultaneous equations.

Anyways, how would I find the value of 'a' with the equations: 1) y=ae + 1 = 280.98 and 2) y=ae2+1=762.0

Have u looked at ur CAS companion book?
Also, you can find the solution by drawing the graph. Draw both the graphs on one axis and find the "intersection" which is in menu-analyse graph.
Hope this helps ;)

I have another CAS related question

Is it possible to find the inverse of a function using the CAS? What would I press to find the inverse of 2ln(x+1) + 1?

Let y=f (x)
Interchange x and y
Make y the subject (by solving on cas)
Press enter

Hope this works ;)

I always found it easier to just use solve(ae+1=280.98 and ae^2+1=762.0, a), because I could use the keyboard shortcut for the solve function on reflex.

solve(2ln(y+1)+1=x, y)
