Atar to get into medicine

Just wanted to know what atar I should be looking at to get into medicine at monash. I'm aiming to become a GP. 😆

99.95 :P

that's if your umat score is horrendous.

This is a difficult question, and it depends on your UMAT score, and your interview score. To be competitive you'd need 99+, but 98 and 97 could still get you into med if you have really good UMATs and interviews.

97 atar with a UMAT say 95th Percentile or so, will that get you through?
 
Also, should  you starry practicing in year 11, getting the feel of things?

Probably not if you meant a 97 ATAR.

Having said that, 97 stars will not get you into medicine either.

Unlikely. If you want to get in with a 97 ATAR my guess is that you'd need 100th percentile and a very strong interview, or a minimum 95-98th percentile UMAT with a killer interview.

What kind of raw UMAT scores equate to 95th+ percentile? I'm currently averaging about 60% correct

So say one gets a 99 atar exactly and are eligible for SEAS, what umat percentile would they need? I think this has been asked many times but I'm just curious..

And how many students does monash accept for medicine each year?

i actually found a person doing med that got a 70 percentile UMAT and an 89 ATAR... but he is rural and on the dean's rural list...
