I have no idea when it comes to med, but I'm pretty sure the 65% average you need for guaranteed entry to Master of Eng does count breadth subjects. Can't see why it would be different for other faculties.

But in all honesty – and I don't mean to sound harsh – if you don't like the idea of breadth you'd probably be best going to a different uni that doesn't place such emphasis on it. No use in being forced to do something you're not interested in.

Feel free to shoot me a PM pertaining to getting to M.Eng through the Environments course, or the Envs/Eng courses in general.

Hey,

Of course they count towards your GPA. Russ wrote a great thread on calculating GPA for med if you do a quick search with 'GPA'. Personally i use my breadth slots in an attempt to boost my gpa as they are subjects i like doing and are mostly less difficult then my regular subjects.
