Monash Undergraduate Med?

Hey guys, I've got this small doubt on behalf of a friend who's currently in Year 10 (Graduating in 2016). She was wondering whether the rumors of the Undergraduate Medicine course at Monash having their final intake in in 2016 was true? And there after the course will no longer run anymore?

Posing this question and current Med students who might know whether this is true

These rumours pop up every year just like the old "English isn't going to be in the top 4". Rumours are rumours for a reason.

Tell your friend to not worry about Monash medicine just yet, if something does happen it's not like she shouldn't be trying her best in school anyway.

Something is happening in 2017, but it has nothing to do with undergraduate medicine. What IS happening in 2017 is that Monash GRADUATE medicine (at Gippsland) will only start accepting students who have done MONASH biomed, science (with prerequisites), physiotherapy and veterinary science. Out of the 75 places, 50 will be reserved for Monash Biomed students alone. The other 25 will be open to Monash Biomed, Science, Physiotherapy and Veterinary Science.
