Hey guys,

so for Literature I am currently writing my 'Views, Values and Contexts' essay. For this essay, we must make a modern link to the themes explored in the text.
I would love any suggestions for any interesting events in our modern day that relate to the bold themes.

Even peaceful, rational people can be racist -> Modern people/countries/laws that are hypocritical as on the one hand they support equality but yet inequality still exists

-> lmao I REALLY want to discuss religion buttt I don't want to risk it :P

Even justice is corrupt - the ultimate form hypocrisy as we rely on the courts to remain our moral guardians, even in the face of evil

-> I was thinking about discussing the hypocrisy of the government in many of the Third World countries. What do you think? Any other ideas?

Even our heroes are flawed hypocrites

-> Someone who was perceived as good yet jeopardized their name by being hypocritical.. The examples I have are about people in government. However, this argument is too similar to my second point!
-> I remember reading about a well known charity (I can't remember which though :|) which is really a scam.. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks for any suggestions!! :)
