What are globular proteins?

We don't need to know what these are but it's good to be able to link this concept to specific proteins. Haemoglobin is a Globular protein and that's the most you'll need to know about them. I find it easy to remember as I just link haemoglobin to red blood cells which have a globe / spherical type of shape and globular is very similar to globe. Found that the easiest way to remember it. Also, in relation to Globular proteins it's also good to know a few Fibrous proteins such as silk or collagen. Here's a table I put into my notes you might find useful
