Hi guys, I've been hearing that students who does a LOTE will get some kind of bonus to their ATAR? Is this true or am I trippin...?

Please shed some light :)

LOTE study scores come with a bonus added to the raw score for a student having completed a LOTE. Many LOTEs also scale up a heap, so like a 35 SS can end up contributing to your ATAR as a 45+ scaled score in some cases.

It depends on the subject the extent of scaling, however all LOTE have a small raw study score bump up to increase enrolment in LOTEs in VCE (the extent of the bump up, I am not sure).

I don't think there is any effect on the (raw) study score.

5 is added to the mean of the scaled distribution, meaning that at a study score of 30 it marks up 5 more than it otherwise would have (roughly). So yes, as chase said, there is extra scaling for LOTEs.
