Apartments in CBD

With formal approaching quickly, i'm looking for an apartment in the CBD (closer to Collins St East)
Since apartments costs an arm and a leg, we're not too keen on getting a $300 apartment between 2 people, thus having to get multiple rooms, only to end up all being in the same apartment.
Are there any apartments that we could bring more people in? eg. reception is closed after 10pm.
