Medentry percentiles are HIGHLY innacurate. Theres a number of reasons for this, least of which being that many people do not do it under timed conditions. I know some people who complete the exam over 4-5 hours even. Some people will do half of it on one day and the other half the next etc.
So like many others are saying, i would completely ignore the percentiles. Focus on your raw improvement in these exams and develop skills and strategies for answering questions

Fair enough. I scored 77/134 on the first practice exam I did. I mean under 3 hour time constraints, is this a reasonable start? I'm obviously going to work much harder to raise that!

As a tutor for the UMAT, i give many of my students practice exams to do and i would say that 77/134 is certainly not a poor score, but you'll want to probably push that up towards the high 80's/ low 90's. (Speaking very vaguely here since a lot of it is dependent on difficulty of exam etc). Having said that i know of people who who started off getting lower than that and ended up getting in quite easily so you have a great chance if you dedicate yourself. Goodluck!

But UMAT isn't about how smart one person is - the only way to prepare for the UMAT is to develop strategies and apply those strategies to questions. Plus I find some questions beyond difficult, and within 3 hours, it's probably virtually impossible to finish. I dunno, I'm going to continue preparing for it. Hoping for the best!

I agree, UMAT has nothing to do with how academically smart a person may be at school. My scores also fluctuate so much, it's quite demotivating...So you're not alone!!! Hopefully we will do well on the day :)

Hey guys,

Can someone explain how the cliche, "honest people see honesty in others" is applied to section 2 questions? When I choose an option I can subjectively justify my choice but the general populace disagrees. I know you can't 'learn' empathy but are there any tips on how to differentiate between the last 2 multiple choices?

Haha, I remember them saying that at the medentry workshop!! I always just go with my gut, which isn't reliable half the time.
