Am I going to be disavantaged for the exam and the sac since I don't do physics and the topics Mechanics and Kinematics look daunting...:(

Nah man, you'll be fine. I didn't do physics, and I got full marks for both sections on the exam last year.

(side-note: I learned that if VCAA mess up your marking, they provide a free statement of results. Best thing ever! ;) )

EDIT: sorry, just realised I should clarify:

it will be daunting at first, but they expect a mathematical understanding more than a physical understanding. You will need to do some reading online, you'll need to think a little bit, and you'll need to learn a few terms (like Newton's three laws and random things like equilibrium and terminal velocity), but otherwise, you'll be fine. The mechanics and kinematics sections are all about vectors, and as long as you're good with vectors, you'll be good with those.

Don't worry, you'll be fine, hahah. You won't even realise you're doing physics if you just pretend it's all maths. ;)

Not to mention, mechanics makes up a tiny part of the exam.
