Wait does this exam count towards your actual sac scores?
I think you've explained it before where your exam is like another sac for a unit?
Or is this just a harmless practice exam to ensure you've learnt the content?
If not...

Good luck :D You'll be fine!

It is a school-based assessment, thus, it will count towards your SAC (school assessed coursework) scores.

this exam is worth 20% of my school mark counting to my ATAR....final year exams are 30% to my ATAR (school mark)...the other 50% of the school mark is random tests they have during the year...
then the other non school 50% is the external WACE exam (for u guys VCE Exam)  :)

yes 3 hour exams are the pinnacle of fun  :-\

3 HOURS? For half a year?
Back when they had unit 3 and unit 4 exams separate they only went for like 1 hr and a half. That's so cruel having a three hour exam omg

I suddenly really appreciate the fact that I'm doing VCE and not the WA VCE equivalent.

Good luck on your exams!

We don't have midterms. Not any that count anyway.

Like my school runs midterm exams to help us get a feel for what the end of year will be like but we don't have official exams midyear that count towards our ATARs at all. And from my understanding, some schools don't run midyears at all...

For VCE we don't actually have mid year exams that count towards out ATAR. There used to be unit 3 and unit 4 exams a while back but now they no longer exist. So our final study score is weighted only by our SACS and End of year exams. The weight-age on SACS is dependent on the subject. So effectively, only our SACS and our end of year exams count towards our ATAR. Hence why some of us are surprised you have mid year exams with an actual weight-age XD

Well this thread has finally reached 100 pages. Congratulations guys!

We're also close to the end of semester 2 and I hope everyone is holding up okay. I have so many SACs coming up in the next couple weeks and looking forward to the upcoming break! It's a busy period but remember to look after your mental and physical health, and if you're disappointed with your results its definitely not too late to turn them around :)
