I just want class to start. I am a bit nervous about everything, however I am fortunate enough to be living on campus and about 70% of the students where I am staying are studying science. The workload doesn't seem too bad if you are able to stay on top of everything.

Unless you're me... Advanced physics, maths, engineering and actuarial/economics. What's a social life again?
Good luck with living on campus! Sounds enjoyable and a great way to start the year :)

What electives did you choose?

Chem I and Chem 2. Looking forward to more chemistry in my life :p. What electives did you pick?
Side note: Also taking one level two subject; structure of the human body in place of biomed physics. Are you taking all level one subjects this year?

nice!

I did CHM1011 and CHM1022 last year through MUEP, great subjects. I choose MTH1030 and MTH2010, might change MTH2010 to a financial maths/stats subject and do MTH2010 later on. Guess i'll decide next semester.

Did you do extension physics? to get out of BMS1031?

Anyone feel free to add to this thread i made. Monash University subject choice thread 2017

Not being the best maths student in my class, I think I'll stay away from the maths subjects. Although I am considering MTH2132 for next year which sounds like a lot of fun

Nope :p Only BMS2011 didn't require any prerequisite subjects and I thought it would be nice to try it out since we have to do it anyways next year.

Also doing Arts, you're definitely not alone!

Politics sounds absolutely fascinating and I'm hoping to take some electives in it at a later date.

Anyone here studying literature, linguistics, philosophy, or history? Hit me up, I'd love to meet you! :)

yeah i'm also thinking of MTH2132 next year. Heard it's a fun unit with low contact hours.

Guys has anyone planned monash orientation week?

I have although I probably won't stick to it 100%. I'll more than likely go with the flow on the day.

Out of curiosity, has anyone booked a library tour? What's the difference between the 'Matheson library tour: Orientation Week program' and the 'Matheson library tour: Get to know YOUR library?'
