Section 1 - Problem Solving Qn

If the stem of the qn states that any member of the team who wears wristbands while playing wears either red or white then how is it possible that they can wear a combination of white & blue or red & blue? Even if they are wearing a white or a red wristband, wouldn't wearing a blue wristband violate the rule that they wear "either red or white" wristbands?

The stem says the members have to wear either red or white wristband (cannot wear both and cannot wear none). What it is saying is if you pick a member from the team randomly, you would find the person wearing either red or white wristband. They can wear anything else on top of this rule, so he can have one red wristband, one yellow wristband, one blue wristband and so on. The only rule is they must have a red/white wristband with them. Do you get it now?

Now I'm confused, I thought they didn't necessarily have to wear a wristband and that if they did, they had to wear either a red or white? "Every member... who wears wristbands when playing" :-\ I understood your explanation though, thank you :)

Some of them may be wearing none (but we can't conclude this from the information in the question). But every member that does wear them must have either a red one or a white one. That doesn't exclude them from wearing other colours of wristband though
