Basically impossible to answer without a little bit more context lol. I once tried to balance a tennis racquet on my nose and sucked at it. What do you mean to ask, specifically? lol.

Hahahaha, should you keep playing hockey?

Do you enjoy it? If yes -> continue

Do you hate it? If yes -> stop

That's my philosophy hahaha

Do you enjoy it? Could you be spending your time on something that would be more beneficial/enjoyable?
Sometimes, people just don't click with certain things and it can make it frustrating and kind of ruins the purpose of it. If you have actually had a go and it isn't getting anywhere just stop doing it or find something new.

That is literally the worst philosophy in the world IMO. :P Like, if you go out and sell your gear, are all the poor people in Africa suddenly going to have money? Or would they have had it if you didn't buy the gear?

I'm with Brenden on this - if you enjoy something, do it, even if you're not good at it. I'm no good at first person shooters, but a few of my friends like them, and I like being with these friends, so I play first person shooters.

I also agree with the comments regarding 'if you enjoy it, do it'. Practice makes perfect and you'll only get better at what you do if you continue to have a go and be better.

What's the point of life if you can't do things that you enjoy? Just because you suck at something does not mean you can't turn it around into something you enjoy and do well in. Anything is possible if you're determined :)

Not exactly sure what it is, but I think you should keep at it long enough to give it a decent chance. And remember that exercise is special. You're very likely to hate any new sport if it's your first time exercising in a while, and you need to allow more time since you're adapting both body and mind. In saying that though, if there's no doubt at all that you hate it, there's no point in forcing yourself. Try something else though, don't just leave a hole.

On the other hand, definitely keeping doing something if you enjoy it, regardless of how good you are at it.

The only purpose of sport is not necessarily fun (although its heavily promoted as such in the west). I'd encourage you to stick in there, the struggle is part of the experience, it's part of the learning process. If you are not struggling, you are not progressing, you are not learning, you are not developing as a person. In some ways, you should be thankful for the struggle.

If you absolutely cannot stand it and it is causing you nightmares, leave. If it is not, i'd encourage you to stay for at least 4 months (a third of a year). You'd be surprised what could happen and how your attitudes can change, especially in reference to my above talk about struggle. Martial arts absolutely hemorrhage people, i'd say 90% of beginners leave. I firmly believe if many of these stayed or appreciated the struggle a little more, they would have lasted. No one begins as a pro-fighter or a master swordsman, to expect so is a folly, everyone sucks for a little.

Time is precious, it is the only thing you cannot buy, trade or get back. Unless you're a devout Hindu, you only get one set of time (yes, YOLO). IF you have something better to do, go for it. If you will be sitting on ATARNotes, i'd encourage you to continue at it for a little longer. If you absolutely hate it, there is no use at all wasting your precious time.

If you are staying in it just because you paid money, don't do that. If you feel bad for spending your money, you shouldn't, no one is a saint.

What about if a teacher tries to prevent you from doing a subject in which you kinda suck at it, but you enjoy it and want to get better at it?? The quote "You only live once" has gotten to me, and I mean what the point in not trying it, when you got one life. I also hate this quote because it takes the respect out of everything, and makes life feel useless. You know what I'm saying?

Through time, your expended efforts will pay off and the thing you like but suck at, will become the thing you like and are good at.

I think you should do the subject. Easier to study something you're interested in, even if you find it difficult to grasp at first.

Uh... can't help you with your philosophical thoughts though... ask slothpomba.

I did do the subject I wanted but the teacher was like "why do you want to do maths?" ahem because everything. Seriously though, I hate how my school becomes to involved in everyone's subject selection.  >:(

Omg them feels.
This was so me regarding methods. I was going to get severely punished for doing methods, and that it would be best to do another 3/4 subject. They said that I wouldn't even get a SS over 20 (harsh, I know, but considering my results in 1/2 and even Year 10, those results were quite shit haha). But in 2014 I worked so hard for the first SAC, where I got a B (not great IMO, but the teachers thought it was good especially coming from me), so they let me continue with methods. I worked my butt off towards the end of the year, and I got an SS over 30 in the end. Whilst yes, I am still disappointed with my score, and I know I could've done MUCH better, I still proved the teachers wrong in them saying I wouldn't get over 20.
Yes, this did ruin my self esteem, but in the end, I'm glad I did methods :)
Don't let anyone or anything stop you. Good luck :D
