The only purpose of sport is not necessarily fun (although its heavily promoted as such in the west). I'd encourage you to stick in there, the struggle is part of the experience, it's part of the learning process. If you are not struggling, you are not progressing, you are not learning, you are not developing as a person. In some ways, you should be thankful for the struggle.
If you absolutely cannot stand it and it is causing you nightmares, leave. If it is not, i'd encourage you to stay for at least 4 months (a third of a year). You'd be surprised what could happen and how your attitudes can change, especially in reference to my above talk about struggle. Martial arts absolutely hemorrhage people, i'd say 90% of beginners leave. I firmly believe if many of these stayed or appreciated the struggle a little more, they would have lasted. No one begins as a pro-fighter or a master swordsman, to expect so is a folly, everyone sucks for a little.
Time is precious, it is the only thing you cannot buy, trade or get back. Unless you're a devout Hindu, you only get one set of time (yes, YOLO).
IF you have something
better to do, go for it. If you will be sitting on ATARNotes, i'd encourage you to continue at it for a little longer. If you absolutely hate it, there is no use at all wasting your precious time.
but i paid for all the gear already and the semester and like what about the poor people in africa?
If you are staying in it just because you paid money, don't do that. If you feel bad for spending your money, you shouldn't, no one is a saint.
