Preference order and likelihood of scholarships

Hi all,

I am potentially interested in either engineering/commerce and medicine for university and I am looking at applying for the MBBS at Monash and the BComm at Melbourne. I also have SEAS for disadvantaged financial background and this allows me to potentially get some consideration for equity scholarships at UniMelb.

Would putting the MBBS, extended rural cohort and bonded places as my top 3 preferences jeopardise my chances of getting a scholarship at UniMelb? I've put BComm as my 4th preference for now as I've been advised they won't even consider MBBS applicants who put it as anything less than their 2nd preference.
