Is it wise to complete units 3&4 of this subject without units 1&2?Are all the SACS tests? What is the workload like?
Hey Scandin9

I did Units 1&2 and I'm doing 3&4 this year, and after doing 1&2 you could defiantly go into 3&4. I actually found the coursework alot different in 1&2 compared to 3&4, the only major similarities is when looking at the dimensions of health such as Physical, Mental and Social, but that is generally pretty easy to get your head around, and you go into detail about it in Unit 3&4 anyway.
In terms of Your Sacs, there are three types you could be given. Either a test, Data Analysis or Case Study. Test is self-explanatory, Data Analysis sacs are ones that include graphs, charts, tables etc. and you have to answer questions in relation to the data you are given, and Case Studies are where you are given a case study; for example a certain scenario, and you have to answer questions in relation to the Case Study.
In terms of workload, i find that the workload is alot more heavier than units 1&2 and that is only because there is alot to remember in 3&4, especially when looking at nutrition, National Health Priority Areas, United Nations Millennium Development Goals etc. However with Study, doing well in SACS and your Exam is achievable!
So doing units 3&4 without Units 1&2 is not that much of a disadvantage and still able to do really well in the subject, in terms of SACS you will be given one of either; Test, Data Analysis or Case Study and in terms of workload, i find personally its heavier however with study you can do really well, just like any other subject!
Hope that helped a little bit & Goodluck!
