Feeling Demotivated

Hi guys,
Hope you're all enjoying you're lives.
As of right now i am feeling quite traumatised, fearful and distressed about my grades.
I go to St Kevins
I am sitting on the average grades for my SAC's:
English = C
Japanese = A
Methods = D
Further = A
Accounting = B

Can i bring this back to a high ATAR score? Please be as brutally honest as you can.
Thanks for all the help.

Hi Affaj.

I think your fears are unwarranted. Obviously it's hard to stay motivated for the whole year, but you've gotten through this far, the light at the end of the tunnel is approaching, you just gotta push through!

I ran a quick ATARCalc on your scores, and assumed A=40, B=35, C=30, etc.
Your projected ATAR would be 86.30 even with five subjects, without including a 6th subject that you may have done last year.

Best of luck with the rest of the year :)
2013:  Mathematical Methods (CAS) (48 --> 51.5)
2014: Specialist Mathematics (42 --> 52.3)| Physics (43 --> 45.2)| Chemistry (46 --> 48.2)| English Language (50)| Chinese (SL) (39 --> 49.0)|
ATAR 99.95
UMAT 99th %ile

Tutoring ELang, Methods, Chem, Physics and Spesh in 2015. PM if interested.

Hi JHardwickVCE,
Thanks for the help.
Yeah i am just getting really paranoid and self doubt is kicking in.
I'd like to thank you very much. You don't understand how much your response means to me.
Thank you very much.
Best of luck to you too!

Since the start of term three, my english teacher was absent due to some serious illness, and she was away for a good three weeks. We had a sub teacher who had somewhat knowledge of the text we had started, but it was not adequate for us. People who do "will you please be quiet please?" might be able to understand how hard it is to get through this.

This is when I realised how vital it is to have a strong willingness and be able to work hard no matter what. Although it took me enormous effort and time, I have eventually reached a point where i think i have done what I could, and this itself can give me some sense of fulfilment.

So I have my english sac tmrw, and I hope my efforts payoff.
I hope this recent experience that i had can aid you one way or another. :)

It's a very, very rough guide. It's also very dependent on your cohort at school and how well you do on the exam. Also notice how this model doesn't allow for specific scores, so it's more useful to compare scaling effects of different subjects.
