3/4 without 1/2?

I haven't done 1/2 economics this year and was wondering if I should pick up 3/4 next year?
I don't really know what economics is, but the idea of it just appeals to me.
Does it involves maths at all? What about graphs and charts? I really cannot do maths, in fact, I'm dropping further.
Did/do you enjoy economics?
And also, is it a rote-learnt subject?
Thanks guys (:

Doing 3/4 without 1/2 would be extremely hard as the concepts and ideas needed for short answers and extended responds stem from previous things learnt in units 1/2. Not saying its impossible but it would be hard. It involves little math with alot of diagrams and charts. Economics is a good subject to learn as it basically explains how the world works regarding the economy but personally it bores me a tad as it revolves around actions taken by the gov. (i dislike politics)

I'd echo that doing 1/2 would give some advantage for economics 3/4. However, in terms of maths the diagrams and charts are not even maths at all, they are just simply statistics which you analyse in economic terms. E.g. written explanations, no maths involved.

It would not be 'extremely hard', depends on if you are interested in how the economy works etc... Supply and demand is where the maths gurus tend to dominate, e.g. don't rote-learn this like I did when you face it... But that is a 1/4 of the course, the rest can be more or less rote-learned. The beauty about economics is that once you understand the concept, you don't necessarily have to rote-learn it in immense detail.

Most of the things that you learn in 3/4, the basics are covered in 1/2. Like any other subject it's wise to do 1/2 first. Also for the last Area of Study, our teacher used what we learned (Trade Liberalisation) in 1/2.
