what are some examples from the text that can have multiple interpretations?

Also what is the meaning behind 2nd juror giving out cough drops? When he runs out, he seems to be more involved in the case and brings up the important part about the position of the knife stab.

 I thought it was part of him acting as a mediator between the two opposing sides, not really having a strong opinion for either side.

Also near the end it says "the knife still sticks into the table." what could this indicate/Rose trying to suggest?
