Sadly my school had trials in the holidays >:( Only 2 though, and the rest next week. But it did confuse my mental image of holidays.

PS. Also, what kind of school holds trial exams in the holidays.
Um... Mine?

According to other responses, it seems quite common. :-\

Damn! Trial exams in the holidays must suck. But I guess it prepares you for the real thing right?
Hopefully it didn't ruin holidays too much. ;D Hope everyone's having an overall relaxing break!

Too relaxed... :D

Trial exams were all last week, and this week has been an "R and R" week. ;)
Haven't even opened my books!

Trial exams in the holidays must suck.
Pls fulfill your destined role as preacher <3

There's no R&R for me - the voice in the back of my head has been buzzing its annoying little countdown ever since I woke up on the first day of holidays (which, coincidentally, was marred by two trial exams). :-/

Remember the self-love, though, everyone! Make your parents buy you a custard scroll or something :D

Thoughts are only thoughts.
They are not you. You do belong to yourself,
even when your thoughts don't.

A late PSA for students considering a design (e.g. interior, vis comm, game design), architecture, music or performing arts course for next year:
If you are considering these types of courses, please take the time to find out when the interviews, portfolios, selection tasks or performances are going to be and prepare. Many of these are in October to December sometime. It'll be harder to enter these courses next year if you don't have these types of courses down already as a preference and take the appropriate steps to enter these courses.

It seems like exams can't get here fast enough. Even though I'm not 100 percent ready for them, at this stage I just want to get it over and done with.

I've heard often that one should leave the most recent exam for any given subject for last. I plan to leave the 2017 and 2018 NHT exams for last for most of my subjects. I was just wondering how long before the real exam are these advisable to be left alone?
On one hand I feel I could do it like more than 1-2 weeks earlier and simply spend the rest of the time after that revising. On the other it may be more beneficial to leave to simply a few days earlier to fully get in the exam taking groove.

I'm leaving the Methods 2018 NHT for the day/week before.
But I'm using physics NHT for revision, so I'll have to do the VCAA 2017 exam last there...

Hmm seems like it’d be more useful to do a content based subject’s exam earlier such as chemistry while leaving application based such as further and methods for later.

With the English exam tomorrow, I just want to wish everyone the absolute best of luck for all their exams. It’s been a long year for everyone and now we are on the final home stretch. Let’s put in everything we have for the next couple weeks and look forward to the months of holidays awaiting us.
Remember to stay calm, take regular breaks, eat well and  stay hydrated.

Mainly understand that VCE is only a small part of your life. Your life is not dictated by how you go in the next few weeks. The best we can do it give it our 100% and hope for the best.

It’s been a pleasure to see you all develop on this forum through out the past several months. There are a lot of familiar faces that I hope will still be here next year.

Good luck!

Thanks, Lear! All the best for your exams as well (and take your own advice - look after yourself).

It's been an amazing experience to get to know you all on the forums this year - gotta say, I think we're one of the best cohorts out there. We're almost to the absolute finish, what a fantastic experience! And echoing Lear's sentiments, I hope to see plenty of you still out and about on AN in 2019.

All the love, and all the luck. <3

Cheers, Lear! I want to echo that as well, good luck to everybody! For those who hate English like me, only 25 hours more of pain before it is all in the past! :P Hope everyone can stay focused and happy throughout this exam period and can remind themselves that this is not the part of our lives that define us. Who we are doesn't depend on the box with the number on it that VCAA tries to stuff us into. I have seen everyone on this forum show that they are more than a number, so focus on who you are rather than the marks you get.

Good luck, and happy exams to us all! :D
