I guess that's what happens when you're a cashed up team. I know that's not really an excuse but it's the reality of it.. They are #1 because they have the cash to throw around and get the best players + to put into their operations.

We did our best, but Sydney were way too good. To even get to a preliminary final is an achievement in itself. :) 2015 here we come.

I would love to see Port win the grand final. Probably unlikely but it'd be a change from the generic grand finals.

I kinda wanted Port to win so the grand finals would be different this year. However. if a non-victorian team wins, then the other state would be up them selves and keep reminding us forever. I guess its good that it is hawks vs swans. Come on Hawks  ;D

With the holding the ball ????

More like the whole game. The umpiring was shocking. Guess AFL don't want two non-melbourne teams to play it out in the grand final.

Umpiring looked same both ways, but Port got robbed by a dodgy holding the ball call with 1:30 left 60m out from goal.

Some dodgy umpiring on both ends (take Roughie not getting a 'holding the man' free kick in the centre circle in the 4th quarter as well as Gunston's 'off the ball' free kick in the first) but really if Port were able to kick straight in the first quarter then they would have won in the end!
Same goes for their 'impact' players too like Wingard + Wines (little impact till very late in the game)...

Looking forward to Brownlow Night on Monday though!

I had the best seats to the hawks vs port game. I was about to have a heart attack the second the siren went, until it provided some solidarity.

They definitely were not robbed. Hodge tackled him and he made absolutely zero effort to get it out. You may not think about the actual wording of 'holding the ball' as it has become somewhat cliche as to when it is awarded nowadays, but he HELD THE BALL after being tackled and made absolutely no effort.

Umpires were pretty good tonight if you ask me. A few mistakes here and there. First of the four goals in their storm home was a cheap, umpire ridden free.

But my clairvoyant skills provided me well once again within the face of adversity. I guessed the granny once again :D

I honestly reckon this will be most anticipated thing of the grand final - whether Buddy will win this time 'round. As much as I want Swans to win, I reckon it'll be hilarious if Hawthorn win, just because in both recent situations of a Swans vs Hawthorn final, Buddy lost both times.
