Desperate help! Methods 1/2 done badly.....

My little sister is freaking out because she did not listen in class. She understands all the fundamentals but has not consolidated it well. She has not been practicing methods and has been skipping homework regularly. She has do e abysmal work on the tests and the exam is coming up. My lil sister can get really motivated when people doubt her so now she is aiming for a 50 ( :0)
I just wanted to now if it is possible for one to be able to pick up their game for 3/4 and still get a 50.
She knows the 1/2 material , just not as well as others may. She has passed all her tests but have not really stood out. She goes to a select entry school and she really wants to hammer out methods these holidays.
1) is a fifty still possible ?
2) how can she utilise these holidays to catch up?
3) what are some good strategies for doing well in methods?

My sister can be really smart when she applies herself. She does really well in biology cause she loves it!

For me, unit 1/2 for Methods isn't really that different to 3/4. 3/4 is just an application of the basic skills you've learnt throughout 1/2 plus harder application questions and topics.

A 50 is still possible if she focuses on doing well consistently for 3/4. Your results don't matter for 1/2, so there's still hope for her to catch up these holidays. For Methods, understanding the content is important so some good practice can be doing practice questions, making a bound reference book and doing past exam papers. Like you said, your sister can get really motivated, so of course it's achievable for her to do well! Just make sure she keeps up next year during 3/4 and that she pays attention in class!  ;D
