Unit 4 will be harder, there are more new concepts.
The concept of alleles, genes and inheritance was briefly explained to us in Year 10, but this year we need to know the work in much more detail.
Plus, we've barely touched on evolution properly before.

I found Unit 3 to be a bit more revision-y.
Also, you need to consider that you have less time to study for the Unit 4 exam, as you have more exams at that time than you did for the midyear exams.

Hence, it makes sense that the second exam should be more difficult.

Unit 4, because it's much drier and less interesting than Unit 3 and thus motivation to study will be zilch!

(Whoops I thought you were asking if Unit 3 or 4 was harder, not the exam)

As follows, because less motivation = less studying = less skill = find exam harder :P

Also, like others said, you would have to divide your time between preparing for your other subjects, so there would be less time to study for the end of year bio exam!

Genetics was alright, but my motivation to study evolution was close to zero. Hence why I have no notes to upload for you guys for unit 4 Bio.

Evolution is a load of shit.
Find something useful to put on the study design please, VCAA.
Stop teaching boring crap because you can't fill the study design with anything more advanced.
If people don't understand advanced genetics and cellular/system concepts, then perhaps they should avoid sciences.  Then maybe we would spend less time being bored by human characteristics and spending ten years on the idea of natural selection, and more time doing interesting work.

Nope... don't give a shit. Yeah let's look at some skulls and then pick which one is most like a humans. Then let's look at some tree diagram and decide which species evolved from another and use big fancy words to describe a load of shit

Know what we don't get!?  A whole lot of the end of AoS 1 because she decided to skip it and 'come back to it'.
Too bad tomorrow is the last lesson of the term, and we have to go off and do some trial exams without proper knowledge.

I think a lot of school students are forced to do that for bio, it is relatively long course to deal with
