I am considering nursing at vic uni, deakin in melbourne, monash pen or clayton(probably more preferred if go to monash), ACU, la trobe in melbourne.
in terms of location, ACU is best out of all.
money, not so much the issue since l am born here, not international student
now, which uni provides better nursing courses?
l heard from many people, ACU is good for nursing and it is actually really popular since it has the most nursing students than any other uni. However, there are some negatives, l am not sure if anyone has told you or not. ACU is sort of like catholic uni, and they give a major or two that is completed unrelated to your course because you have to do them if you go to that uni. I heard from many uni students at ACU, those stuff they have to do are boring and tedious(basically horrible) and some even regret choosing it(wished they knew it before).

It is really close and it is really popular but you know, those courses that you have to do kinda puts me down.
so l had a thought, if ACU is not the first, it should be second. Monash is the next thing l decide since they don't give you courses you have to do.
l don't know a lot about other unis, l just know monash is a good uni in terms of reputation and l just don't know if there are other unis better than monash/acu.
l am interested to find out the best nursing course because l got a feeling there will be more competition in looking for jobs. I know it is high demand job and basically you get hired quite easily compared to other jobs but people are telling me that you won't get hired as easily anymore since this news about 'nurses are in urgent need' is fading away a bit because it was few years ago(l think).
so that's when l might get a bit on an edge if l get more experience and more quality learning of a good nursing course in a uni than other unis.
l am year 12 right now so l got a lot of time to think. basically l want a ranking from those unis a listed above from first to last.
give me your views, opinions, ideas, suggestions, advice as l am open minded and willing to listen!

With the subjects you mentioned at ACU, it's only 2 subjects. If that's the only thing you're opposed to at ACU, then it's something pretty small because everyone who goes there has to take them, so you're all in the same position.

I have a friend who is studying nursing at Deakin Burwood and she really likes it there. She says she would prefer to be somewhere smaller, but I guess that's something that comes down to personal preference really. If you want reputation and a small campus, Monash Peninsula is quite a small, tight knit campus but unless you're down that way, you'd probably need to consider driving to campus.

I can't comment on the others because I don't really know anyone or have had anything to do with those courses. But good luck  :)

I think there are less reliance on the reputation of a university these days. You may want to consider more on which university that you will feel the most comfortable, that will help you study and enjoy university life. You will be able to succeed in your specialised area (from any university), so take in consideration of variables such as distance, environment, culture. Some universities may provide you internships or work experience as subjects for nursing, so maybe check about that. I got mostly all this information from these two sites, the first one is on which university is the best for you http://www.studymyway.com/study-options/choose-uni/ and this second link is specifically on nursing. Hope this helps! :) All the best. http://www.studymyway.com/study-options/what-should-i-study/studying-nursing/
