I know this discussion is old now but I happened to notice that Living Longer: A Global Diagnosis is now available in the handbook. They must still be making changes, by the looks of things. :)

This has made my day.
If you do the subject, hopefully you get Richard as a tutor.

Here is my list of breadth subjects I did at uni, with a recommendation or yes/no whether I'd encourage them.
1. Sports Coaching - YES, easiest thing I've done since I was about 13 years old haha
2. Sport & Education in Australian Society - I'd give it a half yes/half no, it was a little boring, but quite easy to do well in
3. Food for a Healthy Planet - NO, worst subject I've done at uni (apart from physics haha)
4. Catastrophes that Changed Society - Yes
5. Going Places, Travelling Smarter - YES, quite easy to do well in, and very fun/interesting subject
6. Deafness & Communication - YES, easy/fun subject (lets hope I don't jinx myself for my mark haha)

Hope that gives Stick, and a few others ideas for breath subjects during their degree  :)

What's bad about Food for a Healthy Planet?

The content was REALLY boring, especially the stuff about renewable food. Sorry I'm not much of a greenie haha...I care about the environment, but don't want to learn about it in detail.

Also, the mid sem and exam were pretty hard, even though you get a cheat sheet.

Fair enough if you did it and enjoyed it. Just giving it my personal account. From what I've heard, many people feel the same way as me :)

Oh I see, thanks for letting me know.

I haven't actually studied it yet, but I was considering it for next year.  :)

Hint: Living Longer :D

They should pay me for advertising this subject as much as I do.

I found that the content was easy enough to follow but what makes the subject difficult is they give you no indication of how you should be answering questions which is extremely frustrating

Actually yes, that is a very good point, and I found that was of the most frustrating aspects of the course.
Hit the nail right on the head with that point!  ;D
