just out of curiosity, do you reckon heaps of people would have got above 86/90? im not sure how competitive acc is...
I seriously doubt that since last year I think the highest was 88

How do you know highest score? Was it you??
word of mouth. I could be wrong so please don't quote me on this matter. One of my friends from other schools was talking to the head examiner who told him that the highest he saw was 86 or 88 and I know a guy who got 88/90.

ahhh so my mark wouldn't be considered very high then if heaps were getting in the 86+ range...
last year highest is 88 according to rhjc, so i suspect this year's highest would probz be full mark considering the fact that this year's easier

but 86 is good enough to be considered as very high though the competition is more vigorous this year :p
It doesn't matter, I know of a guy who got 2 marks above A+ last yr (78/90) and still achieved 47 raw. I doubt he got full marks in Unit 4 Exam.

On the other hand, in 2007, out of six 90/90 at MHS, only 2 or 3 achieved 49-50 and the rest weren't that great. Ironically, the people who got Premier's Awards didn't get full marks in Unit 3!

@game_freak: 86 or 86.5/90 cannot be the highest for this years unit 3 accounting exam, as I know of at least two people in my methods class getting 87/90

Did he end up getting a premiers 50? Just curious, because as you noted, some people score insanely high on midyears and don't work as much for endyears whereas some people get low on midyears relatively and work hard for endyears and succeed (so for all you current accounting people: a good midyear mark doesn't mean you can afford to relax at all). Although to get highest in the state, this guy was probably some hardcore freak at accounting. Was he a year 11?

yeah. he didn't get premier's. apparently he made heaps of errors in unit 4 exam due to lack of pressure.

Heh, I didn't get my mid-semester statement of marks, as I didn't want to know how low my A+ was  ;)

17 people in our cohort's got A+, out of around 80, and my school's just an average school. i think acc is quite competitive.

Holy crap, that is a lot of people doing accounting. My class had four :) (had to join with another school for cross marking)

Seeing as you got a premiers, you now know how 'low' that exam mark was ;)
