Combining bound references

Okay, I've got a (somewhat basic), bound reference I've been working on throughout the year, and I know I probably won't even pick it up during the actual exam, but I was wondering if I'd be allowed to (really securely), duct tape it's back cover to my text book so as to be able to bring both in? They'd be in no way detachable, and even though I probably won't need either of them, It'd definitely make me more comfortable to have them!

Something similar was brought up in the 'Stupid' Exam Questions thread. Short answer - VCAA don't care how you bind your reference, as long as there's a single spine. However, size disparaties might make your invigilators a bit unsure. Is your textbook and the bound reference the same size? Can you make them look like they're really just one book, with one shared spine?

The bound reference is slightly larger, I can definitely attach them in such a way nothing will fold or fall out, but It'd be pretty obvious they were two separate books originally.
