I stuffed the fats question. Was thinking about the LDL and HDL cholesterol but didn't know which one was for which so ehh..
And for the life of me I couldn't remember the name of the dementia program was referring to.

Considering I haven't picked up a book since my dad died... I'm thrilled with how much I remembered.
Hey bluegirl, really happy you did so well! Good luck for your other exams

I actually read that really sad post you made in the 14 thread a couple of days after you had posted it, so I didn't get the chance to say how sorry I am. Your dedication, and hard work even after all that had happened to you this year really inspires me, I have looked up to a couple of atarnote users and you are one of them.

Hope you are well, and like so many have already said, feel free to pm me if you would like to discuss anything. We are all here for you! Let's do this, together!

hey guys, for the fats question, it didn't cross my mind to write anything about cholesterol. I said that saturated fat is found naturally in food, while trans fats are man made and resembled with hydrogen atoms added and are mostly found in processed foods. Is there any way i could still get the marks??
Can smiley, yearning and co confirm?

I wrote the exact same thing and have been feeling so bad about it since, because I knew I cholesterol stuff but it didn't come to me at the time.

I don't think I've replied to you before but can I just say that it is so so admirable that you've been able to put on a brave face and sit your exams? Wow... it truly takes a strong character to be able to do that, you should be really proud of yourself. So many students across the state are complaining about how draining exams are, and yet you've lost a loved one yet found the courage to still sit your exams. It's truly nothing short of incredible. Good luck with the rest of your exams, and my thoughts and prayers go out with your family during this excruciatingly sad time. <3

I have to agree with you Rod. This exam tested more memory than it did application in my opinion which was disappointing.
My only thoughts on this exam.
What did y'all get for that DFAT question? You know the one about HIV/AIDs? I don't really remember..

I talked about having lack of access to safe water therefore increasing risk of waterborne diseases in developing countries.

Ohh that question.  ::) :o
I was firstly thinking, 'they've already mentioned burden of disease in the question, what else am I supposed to address?'

But I put a few things down about forming better relationships, promoting trading opportunities and security.

I could be wrong. Happy to see other answers.

Huh? That contributes to obesity :/. I went completely off track to saying that developed countries are educated about the harm processed foods, alcohol and tobacco smoking does to people and that in developing countries they are not educated about the risks... shit.

I read the question like

"Other than obesity, what is another challenge facing developing countries"

I could have read the question completely wrong.

My heart dropped when I noticed most people were talking about HDL and LDL cholestoral in terms of the difference between the two cause I also talked about how they occur/are made! But I'm quiet sure both answers are valid.. after all it just broadly stated to establish a 'difference' not 'difference in their effects on the body' so I'm quiet sure our answer should be fine  :)

I could have read the question completely wrong.

Please don't take my word for it, because exam stress may have caused me to misread it, but I thought the question was asking how developing countries were more adversely affected by obesity than developed. I thought it specified in the question to talk about obesity.

I'm predicting 75/100 (so 150/300) or 75%.

Although 40 scales down to like 37 lol.

The question was in relation to obesity......., i just simply stated that access to health care is an issue in developing countries more than developed countries, so individuals who are obese in developing countries have less opportunity to treat there disease etc, in comparison to developed countries! i hope that pulls me a mark, i was a bit lost for that question!
