do we need to know about alternative energy like wind, solar and nuclear? I haven't seen many questions on them so not sure. If so, what are some simple differences or advantages/disadvantages of these sources?

I've seen them in some company papers and I don't see any reason why VCAA couldn't give a question. I've personally compiled a list of advantages/disadvantages, particularly looking at how the fewer the number of energy conversions, the more efficient the alternative source of energy.
