Resourceful textbooks

Hello,
I'm just wondering what textbooks I should use for year twelve English language?
I heard that the teacher that is teaching English language next year at my school isn't too good, and that the textbook - living the lingo isn't too good.
I know there is a heinemann English language 3&4 but it's not the current study design, as well as the Macmillan. Although they aren't the current study design. Would it be worthwhile to get these textbooks?

Or are there other resourceful textbooks I should consider having.

I'd still recommend buying living lingo as it has some great examples and has lots of explanations. In addition, I have created an online course for VCE English Language (I am currently a tutor), and hopefully this helps you. See the link in my signature
