Folio marks

Hi, now that all our folios are done and we can finally breathe easy without stressing over them, I wanted to know if it is possible to ask for the marks that you received. In my school, the teachers say that VCAA says that we aren't allowed to get our marks. Is this true and how many of you out there did receive your results for your folio?
Thanks!

I'm not sure about VCAA not allowing it, but teachers tend not to tell us our folio marks because it will scale against exam performance. So an A+ might go down to a B, which is usually the case when students don't really take the exam seriously. If you know you did well on your folio, then just ace the exam and you're folio mark will scale up.

I see, thanks for replying! I just really want to know the score, despite the changes, because the same would happen in other subjects too. My folio has been my life and literally attached to my hip, I pains me knowing that one, I can't get it back until July next year and two, I'll never get to see the result. I mean if I ask my teacher, they should be able to provide me with the result. *sigh*

Argh I know the feeling. I worked my arse off for my folio, and was actually pissed when my teacher said he couldn't tell me my results. Anyway, I think try asking your teacher, I don't see any reasoning behind keeping it private when everyone's done. Why can't you get your folio back until July?

Mine was about to reveal it, until another teacher came up and stubbornly said no, cause VCAA. I feel so passionately about this.

Teacher said she might get audited or something, so they have to keep everything.I really don't know.

We get told after we do our exam, to prevent demotivation or overconfidence ^^;

I feel ya though. I know they get scaled, but man, I've spent 70 hours+ on this thing, give me the raw!

Agreed! I spent days on my folio, in the end it weighed like 8kgs. I am going to ask again next week at our art exhibition, since exams are over. We have a right to know.

And did anyone apply for top designs?
