Specialist Mathematics Exam 2 Paper

Here's the exam 2 paper. Can someone please make solutions? :)
2013: Mathematical Methods [47]
2014: English | Specialist Mathematics | Physics | Music Performance (Voice - Classical) | UMEP Mathematics

I found multiple choice extremely time consuming and so I had to guess many  :'(
Aced extended response though.

And x as a function of t?!?!?!??!?!?!!?!?!?!??!

you had to complete the cube for that. and the CAS doesn't do it...

why did u have to complete the cube?didnt u just have to use related rates and then solve the d.e?

you had to complete the cube for that. and the CAS doesn't do it...

You can complete the square of the differential equation dt/dx, and then integrate it in turning point form. That way, you don't have to "complete the cube" the get x(t).

I accidentally read the last question as rounding to the nearest 0.1ms^-1, so I got 4.0 and 4.8. So clearly I lost a mark, would I then lose a mark from using these values in the next question (the working was fine) or do they award consequential answer marks? IM SO STUPID GUYS THIS MAKES ME SAD haha

Nooooooooooo! Are you serious... thats all it took? D:

I should've listened to the warning "more solutions may exist if you specify an appropriate domain" at the bottom. But that usually is bogus :(

At-least I was closer than I think

For the vector resolute question when you stated your answer as a sum of the two components, did u have to state which was which component, or was it okay to just leave it as a sum if you had said which was the parallel and perpendicular one beforehand?
