Hey,

I could use some help finding some hot or big topics. From September 2014 to now.

I can't think of anything good  :(

Hey,

Have a look through the comment sections of the Age and the ABC website. That'll give you some good fodder.

We had to choose of three topics, which were:

"We should legalize commercial surrogacy in Australia"

"That we should recognize Australian and Torres Strait islander people as the original inhabitants of this country in our constitution"

"That the Australian government should ceasemandatory detention of asylum seekers"

What do you mean by left? Oh we can disagree if we want?

They'd be particularly challenging to disagree with and are topics that are genuinely of more interest to left leaning voters. I'm not criticising it, just thought it was funny! :)

Interesting question. So interesting in fact that I have no idea about an answer. It strikes me as one of those issues that wouldn't break left/right. A conservative wouldn't support it, if they adhere to conservative doctrine in any case, but I don't think that lefties would necessarily support it either.
