Hmm my teacher and tutor keep complaining about my crap pronunciation. Hopefully the examiners can understand me on the day >_>

Hmm... are your teacher/tutor Jap themselves?

I learn from native speakers, so I guess my pronunciation isn't that bad... do you know any natives that you could practice your pronunciation with for a couple of hours?

Yep both teacher and tutor are native. They just tell me to say words more clearly >_> (well duh). Easier said than done. My teacher even said that I should say that I just got braces last week so I can't speak clearly >_<

Ha ha... I'm glad you went well in the end :)

I have my oral and listening exams next week (beginner uni Jap... you guys are so pro compared to me XD)
common case of japanese humbleness it seems. I don't believe in 'levels' and 'being better/pro' it is more so a case of 'exposure/experience' than 'ability' really.

could be just as well, because they could've started asking you to describe your sickness in detail, which could've potentially sucked/backfired if you didn't know how to say "gastro" or describe it in Japanese

would they do that? I don't think that's; fair, for example one couldn't be expected to know how to say "braces" in Japanese, or "orthodontist/appointment/lisp". That would be harsh!

To say braces in Japanese you just say it fobbly. Bure-su.

Katakana ftw.
