Hi guys,

i got my current sac ranking today for methods of 5th in my cohort (about 95 ppl in total doing methods at my school). im hoping to get 47+ and was wonderin how my chances are looking  :angel:  i go to a rather good private school so the cohort is pretty strong.

Most likely, you will need high A+'s in both exams and probably high A to any A+ sacs.

thanks tony. any ideas on how many marks i can drop in each to keep a 47plus coz i know some ppl get A+ but only low 40s

It really depends on which school you go to.  For instance, Scotch has one of the most absurd mathematics/science cohorts out of all the "rather good private schools", so if you're top 5 a 47+ is pretty likely.  In contrast, Melbourne Grammar (the humanities equivalent of Scotch) will only get about 2-4 47+ scores a year on average for Methods, so top 5 might not necessarily be so certain for it.

SAC marks are more or less irrelevant.  It's all about the ranking.

yeah. i heard that rankings are the only thing that matters. how many marks can i drop on the exams?
