Breadth: external language?

Hey,
Just wondering, is it possible to do a language not offered at university as a breadth? For example, Hindi's not offered as a breadth, so would I be able to do it outside and have it count as a breadth?

I've asked a few UoM students and I've got responses on either side of the spectrum so I'm looking for a definite answer. I tried emailing the university itself and haven't since got a reply.

Thanks :)

There is information on outgoing cross-insututional study here. It must be a subject that's not offered at Melbourne Uni.

The forum for science students is here.
BSc (Hons) 2015 Melbourne

PhD 2016-??? Melbourne

I want to be an architect.

um so I'm guessing it'll be a no can do sitatuion if I go into biomed? given that the link mainly seems to focus on Bachelor of Arts?

It should be doable. May be a bit of a mess working with the university. I wouldn't count on doing it in semester 1 though. Wait until the workload at the student centre starts to settle down.
