Are these oral topics allowed?

Hi, I have only just started my oral speech (I know I'm veeeeeery late) and have narrowed it down to two topics. My oral is in a few days and my teacher isn't replying to my emails so I just want to know which topic is better.

Euthanasia: This might be too overdone and I'm not sure if it is still in the media. Do you think it's a good idea to do this or choose something else?

Human Cloning: Now it looks like this hasn't been in the media for a long time. Do you think it is still valid?

Genetic engineering: Genetic engineering, manipulation and the human genome project and the ethical implications of such projects and their impact on the future.

I want to try to keep my topics in the medical side of things. Thanks in advanced :)

it varies with each school but mine had to be in the news within the last 3 months

Euthanasia yes, the others probably not. There's been a bit about euthanasia in the media lately because of that doctor that came out and said he euthanised patients (Philip Nitschke). To justify it as a topic, you'd probably have to talk about that doctor in particular.

Study Design says it has to be an issue of interest in the Australian media since 1 September 2014. Find something that has a clear recent link, with some current debate and - if it's an older issue - some new developments.
