My teacher gave us this question to do and I have no idea how to structure it!

Could anyone let the ENL community know the key things to include in an answer and maybe structure a model answer?

Thank you so much! :)

   6. Discuss the way in which the linguistic features reflect the cultural context of this text

First off, awesome profile picture! Pretty funny.

So, for this question, you would need to look at the lexical choices (for example) that show the 'cultural situation' of the text you're analysing. For example, an Australian text will often have Australian lexical choices (e.g. colloquialisms, diminutives, maybe even swearing).

I hope this helps!

Thanks Dmitri hahaha! :)

Would you also happen to know examples of 'lexical patterning' and how it can reflect spontaneous speech?

Thank you again!
