How is everyone preparing for the interviews and what would be appropriate to wear?

thanks, and yea, although not for me, as I have an interview but friends of mine are still waiting, they haven't recieved anything, not even a rejection email.

You don't get an email if you don't get in, they just leave you hanging :/

How is everyone preparing for the interviews and what would be appropriate to wear?

I'm getting people to ask me questions, getting my folio ready and getting my science teacher to add a grade she missed on my report (it looks so badddd, everything else is outstanding and then its like 'not assessed' )

I'm wearing my uniform, because its formal and makes it seem like you're proud of your school.

school uniform! unless, you have formal clothing that would be appropriate, you would definitely stand out!
I'm just getting together my portfolio and practing questions + trying not to stress!

400-500 people interviews, 200 chosen eeeeeekk how do we make sure we are selected is what I want to know!

In regards to number of interviews, the number is roughly 400-500 however sources close have told me that this year has had the most number of applicants so competition is high this time around (not to say other years weren't).

As for awards to put into your folio, try and not to "scrape from the bottom of the barrel" (E.g Primary school awards/trophies unless you're still doing the activity in the present year) which I know may seem hard to do but I'd say 3-5 years is a good range. Take photos of medals and trophies and copy it onto a word document with a title underneath should do the trick (also mention year and what the award is if it's hard to tell at first glance).

In terms with the interview, try not to have rehearsed answers since if you can't answer a question "naturally" (I.E Not in the same tone as previous answers) then it'll look bad (and they've been doing this for a number of years so they've learnt what to look out for).

Good luck for those tomorrow and enjoy the scenery at JMSS (and don't worry about JMSS students walking past you and all too since most will be reminiscing about their interview experience xD)

Thank you for all this info!

I thought 2 years was scraping the bottom of the barrel,  I guess I can add more from year 7 and stuff! I have so many certificates from that year for some reason, hopefully some are worth bringing in.
Now to break into the school's trophy cabinet so I can get photos of my trophies >:D

I feel kind of lucky that just last week my school got James Lynch in to speak to us about interview tips, hopefully his tips can help me out interviews are not my strong point, I find it hard to make my answers sound genuine
