Does anyone have any advice for units 1 and 2 of biology? Are there any helpful resources with practice questions or summaries on topics?

I really want to do well at this subject so your help would be appreciated greatly!  :)

Yr 11 bio isn't really that relevant to yr 12 bio and a lot of people still do well without doing units 1/2 so I wouldn't worry about it too much and focus on other subjects such as 3/4(s).

Hello :)
I agree with SammyBoy, most of the 1/2 stuff isn't relevant to 3/4. However things you should try to learn really well this year are basically photosynthesis, cellular respiration, cell organelles and mitosis as these are tested in year 12... the rest of the stuff taught isn't really relevant (however you should still learn the other things as they can sometimes help you to understand other concepts better :) )

Check the notes sections of atarnotes, there is heaps of stuff available for you there. (and for legal too)

Advice: as always, work hard and study actively (e.g. write notes, read out loud, teach someone etc.).

And while unit 1 is far more relevant to 3/4 than unit 2, don't listen to the advice of people above ;) (though it's true).  VCE is not just about the scores at the end, it's what you've learnt out of it.  While units 1/2 may have very little impact on your final study score, it's still really worthwhile doing your best in the subject and learning a lot.  Enjoy!
