Hey guys and girls,
So we have subject selection coming up and i have to pick up an 3/4 subject next year without having done units 1/2.
Currently i have chosen further maths as my choice.
Does this subject require units 1/2 to be done before units 3/4?
Also is 3/4 further maths manageable without doing units 1/2 ?
Will there be lots of assumed knowledge or is this covered in 3/4 further?
Many Thanks
Further Maths doesn't require 1/2 to be able to study it the 1/2 units for Further Maths is General Maths Further. You won't be in anyway disadvantaged in doing it without 1/2. I believe there is little assumed knowledge as the content is usually taught again.
What other subjects are you doing?
What other subjects are you considering?
I assume your doing Methods 3/4(from your posts), if you are comfortable with Methods you will definitely be able to get a great score for Further. You will still have to study for further as it examines completely different concepts.
