ANGRYYYY :@

I'm in year 11 and I'm doing two unit 3/4 subjects this year, so technically, I only need to do another 4 next year, righttt ? BUT, today, I had an interview about the whole subject selection thing, and they told me I had to pick up another subject, cos they don't want students having "too many free subjects" :@
So, doesn't it mean that I'll only be completing the extra subject for nothing? JUST TO WASTE TIME AND COMMITMENT?
I went to sook and complain about it, and they said "its school policy". One teacher told me to write a proposal letter, and see how the principals react. SO NOW I HAVE TO WRITE A LETTER ABOUT MY SUBJECTS, AHHH :@

Any suggestions on how I can make the teachers give in and agree for me to do only the subjects I need :(

Happened with me too.

I ended up with 8 subjects that counted towards my VCE, two scores didn't count towards my ENTER.

Initially yes, but things were a bit differnt for me. Cbf explaining lol.

You can just tell them if they force you to do an extra subject that you will refuse to do any of the work and will do ur other work in the class and ull end up just bringing the schools average study score down and you will make the school look bad.

I'd just say no, you obviously don't want to do another.
You have a couple of options
-Pick a fun subject.
-Tell them no
-Stay angry and do what they say

You can just tell them ... bring the .. average study score down and you will make the school look bad.

Also tell them with more 'study periods' (teachers like this name) you will be able to work more on subjects that will count, thus increasing the average study score.

If you get really desperate you can talk about leaving the school.

hmm true, but one of the teachers' reasons for not allowing students to have too many spares is because then we do "bad" things. Seriously, what can students do thats bad whilst at school anyway :@

Just tell your parents why you don't want to do the extra subject and get them to complain. 'Tis simple.

Do you think the school would give in if my parents complain? Even if its school policy?

Schools care a lot about what parents think considering parents decide whether they have any students or not :P

If nothing works, just think of it as having a back up subject in case you don't do as well as hoped in one of your subjects. Like costargh I ended up doing 8 subjects and I think it gave me a greater chance at getting a higher ENTER.

Only two of them can count in your primary 4.

Guy at my school was in the same situation and picked up Further.  He ended up picking ACDC over and over in all the multiple choices, drawing a goat on the exam and scoring below 20 for his study score.
