Please help me, I don't have the prerequisites

Hi guys,
I'm really anxious over my future right now and i really really need your help! Long story short for a bunch of reasons my plan to get into law (hon)/arts at monash has pretty much gone out the window, and i've started to develop a keener interest in b.com - specifically economics. Problem is i don't meet the maths prereq required in either monash or melbourne, which are the two uni's i've set my heart on going to.

Ok so in melbourne uni:
there's both b.com or b.art (majoring in econ) but i need the 25 in methods to get in with b.com or to major in econ with arts. so i've looked everywhere and found out something about bridging maths methods through uni learn [b(]does this take a whole extra year to do, btw?? is it 11/12 methods mashed together?)[/b] or "Introduction to Mathematics (MAST10012), which can be undertaken through the Community Access Program."
- so like with unilearn, would i be taking a gap year and working through the methods course myself before going into commerce? how does this work exactley?
- also with Introduction to Mathematics (MAST10012), it says i need 1/2 methods, which i don't have either? so is this an option totally cut off for me?
is there no way to get into arts then take a bridging subject while in there to then be able to major in econ/transfer to bcom??? or can i do uni learn and start b.arts at the same time before having that accredited and then majoring in econ???

and then with monash there is:
- unilearn
-???
so yeah, does anyone know any pathways through here??? i guess same questions apply, but i've had my heart set on monash for a lot longer, namely cos i really want to take a double degree in b.com/b.arts, so specifically i was wondering if there was a methods bridging course i could take in b.arts which could then let me expand into a double degree in b.com/b.arts??? and can i do said bridging course without the methods 1/2???

please please please help, i'm super terrified and i don't know where exactley to look for the right information on anything/ how i would fill out course preferences due to what's happened?? thank-you very very very much. :)

Could just enrol in Arts, take MTH1010 as an elective or whatever and then transfer into the double halfway through the year after first semester.
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

I would not delay entering uni for a year to do some silly bridging course.

I would get into either uni on whatever degree you can. The more flexible the degree, the better. At monash this means something like arts or science rather than something with a very strict structure like biomed or physiotherapy etc.

Take the methods equivalent subject the university offers. If your grades enough you should be able to transfer into the course you desire at the end of the first semester or the end of the year.

Id be careful with sudden changes. If you always wanted to do law/arts, maybe it might be good to still stick with it (but of course we dont have all the info).

You could definitely enrol in Arts, do a bridging course in the university maths methods equivalent, and then transfer mid-year into a commerce/arts or economics/arts double degree. This would make your degree at university take no more time than usual to complete because you can apply for credit for your previously done subjects.

I was in a somewhat similar situation to you as I wanted to get into Arts/Commerce or Arts/Economics but didn't have a high enough ATAR to get entry, so I instead just did Arts/Science for a semester. To transfer into either Arts/Commerce or Arts/Economics, you will need to get a minimum 75 average mark at university which to put that in perspective is exactly halfway between a distinction and a high distinction. This may sound intimidating, but it is easily doable if you put enough effort into your studies.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
