Hey all,
Just tossing up between options for my 6th subject, and I was wondering what is it about BusMan that makes people describe it as boring and monotonous? Is the course simple dry, or is it that studying the content is boring? Also, if I have a basic interest in how a business operates, will I find the subject more enjoyable?
Cheers fellas.
Hey Hannibal, as someone who is almost finished with bus man I can tell you that the content is quite dry. This is pretty much because it is very straight forward and you could have a shot at answering the questions without knowing too much of the content. In part of the course, you study operations management which does get a bit interesting when you apply the content to real life scenarios, but a lot of it is quite dull (e.g wage determination methods!!!)
If you do have an interest in how a business operates, you may or may not find it interesting. This is because the content isn't very specific, but it is very broad and you dont go into much detail, you mainly study the thinking behind the decisions a manager makes, hence there are a lot of discussion/analyze/evaluate/reccommend questions.
I will say however, one thing I have found about this subject is that it is very rewarding. If you take your notes ahead of time, do practice questions and work closely with your teacher on how to improve them, I will 100% guarantee you that you will dp really good on the SAC's
