Statement of marks advice
« on: August 19, 2009, 09:24:32 pm »
I got my statement of marks today. I got 85.5/90 for Accounting. Can somebody tell me if this is:

a) a good A+ (like is it high?)

b) will it get me above 45 with hopefully another A+ on the end of year exam?

Let me know! Your thoughts are appreciated.
Raw Scores:
Psychology 50 | Mathematical Methods 49 | Further Mathematics 49 | Accounting 49 | Chemistry 44 | English 43
ATAR: 99.75

Seeing as the A+ range for the Accounting mid-year exam was 79-90, you scored a very respectable mid-high A+. That said, 45+ is definitely achiveable with a high A+ on the end of year exam. So keep studying hard =D!
VCE Outline:
2007:   Accounting [48]

2008:   English [44], Maths Methods [50], Specialist Maths [41], Chemistry [50], Physics [44]

ENTER: 99.70

It is a good A+ since the cut-off was 79.

I would predict, from previous experience, that you would need a score like 85/90 on the next exam (providing that the difficulty of the exam rises a little like in most cases, and that your SAC score is 100%) to get a 45+ score.

I would advice you to be careful. Unlike Unit 3, there are heaps of areas where marks can be lost even if you think you have answered well.

That said, you have done well! Looking at your scores from 2008, looks like someone's getting a 99.95
