So I'm in year 12 right now. And one of my VCE subjects are biology.
In year 11, I failed Unit 1 of bio.
Does this affect my university applications in any way? (Even if I get a good ATAR at the end of the year?)

Idk if I will be applying to courses which have biology as a prerequisite yet ...

Doesn't affect your ATAR, but a few special courses might also have extra requirements (e.g. interview, folio, audition etc.) and some courses might require copies of your school report from previous years (don't very, majority of the courses people apply for don't - it would be more like for scholarships and stuff) in addition to the ATAR requirement.

But really don't worry about it. If you do courses that require biol as a pre-req, as long as you've passed Units 3/4 that should be fine.
