Can you apply through VTAC if you meet non-vce prerequisites

Due to some personal reasons i am not doing methods 3/4 next year but rather unilearn senior mathematics. Which is deemed equivalent to published course prerequisites (for entry to University of Melbourne undergraduate degrees).  So my question is can i still apply through VTAC conidering unilearn isn't the normal prerequist but it is a equivilant?
