I didn't own the Heinemann textbook, however I did own both NOB and Nelson Biology.
I used Nelson Biology as my main textbook for unit 3 and found it brilliant. However, NOB is, by far, the superior VCE biology textbook in my opinion. I say this because it goes into sufficient detail for everything (covers stuff that wasn't even in the Nelson's Biology textbook, like the types of immunoglobulins and what they primarily function as, by memory). But I would still highly recommend Nelson Biology as a secondary textbook.
Also, perhaps try looking into resources by TSFX and NEAP. I had all the books from both companies and found them brilliant. In fact, I would recommend them over Nelson Biology, as their questions are especially good.  :)

Could you specify which TSFX resources you recommend? I have some exam revision notes but nothing too detailed. Do you mean the master class notes?

I went to the summer and winter classes so I got the notes from those. They're really comprehensive! Although they do sometimes go into too much detail, they're pretty much the equivalent of another textbook. So good!

Nelson is probably the superior of the two. Heinemann has the unfortunate habit of constantly straying well away from the course.
As far as revision questions are concerned though, Heinemann is much better.

Thanks yeah i bought heinemann already :)
That is good to hear because the main value of the textbook asides form the extra content is the questions!
