hello, this is for an assignment...
the situation:
A supplier sends a basket of expensive foodstuffs to your home at chrsitmas with a card. "We hope you and your family enjoy the 'goodies'. What actions might you want to take?
i think you could treat it as a donation, like as long as it is public and within the business...though i was just wandering what other ideas...or if I'm on the right track or not? just opinions in general i guess
thanks in advance :)

Never really seen a question asking 'what actions might you want to take', but it would be recording an advertising entry in the general journal (debit advertising, credit stock). Just remember if the business gives away stock away in any form it's always advertising

hahah, I don't think this is in the VCE course. :P I reckon you should ask this questions on the WACE accounting board considering your school is located in perth. I highly doubt any response you get on this thread would be suitable to use since VCE accounting is most likely vastly different to WACE accounting. We don't really study ethics

Otherwise, I would agree with above.
