context help!!

my prompt is "Reality and memories are always strangers to each other."
I'm writing creatively, but I cannot think of anything decent to write about!
please help

I'm terrible at writing creatively but that prompt makes me think of how people often look back at the past very fondly. The word 'nostalgia' comes to mind. Elderly people also sometimes refer to the 'good old days', where they kind of wear rose-coloured glasses when looking back on the past.

You could also write about how stories can get further and further away from the truth with each retelling

Also getting a bit darker, how people sometimes create/change stories to convince themselves that they have led a fulfilling life and actually achieved something.

Think about perspective and how that changes with time
